FOOD FOR THOUGHT

KINGSTON, Ontario - The Honourable Peter Milliken, Member of Parliament for Kingston and the Islands, today welcomed the announcement from the Hon. Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Works and Government Services of a $430,000 competitive standing offer* awarded to Findlay Foods (Kingston) Ltd. Of Kingston, ON to supply the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) with various grocery products on an as-and-when requested basis. The goods will be delivered to institutions in the Kingston area and the Warkworth area. Awarded on behalf of the CSC, the standing offer will maintain two jobs until it expires in late July.

* A standing offer is an arrangement that allows government departments and agencies to deal with suppliers under set prices and conditions. A contract will exist with a supplier only when a department or agency orders goods and services from the standing offer agreement.
